How Heartopia's weather actually works

Heartopia’s weather isn’t random. It follows a fixed calendar that covers all 366 days of the year, 29 February included, and the same calendar repeats every year. The weather for every hour of every day is decided ahead of time.

The weather changes at midnight, not at 06:00

The weather follows the normal calendar date, so at midnight you’re already on the new day’s forecast. The 06:00 rollover you know from shop and task resets doesn’t apply to weather. Don’t let it trick you into reading yesterday’s forecast after midnight.

Three kinds of weather

Every hour is one of three kinds of weather:

Rainbow	2.3%

Rainbow is the one to watch. It covers just 34 of the 1,464 six-hour periods in a year, and it never happens overnight. A creature that needs a rainbow and only shows up at certain hours might be around on just a handful of days.
