What Fishing Lover says

Some fish aren't found in every water area. It's difficult to catch them.

For example, pufferfish... you might have better luck over at Onsen Mountain.

Some folks can't catch fish, not because the fish won't bite, but because they snap the line themselves.

Shh—keep your voice down, or you'll scare the fish off.

During Utopia Opening Phase

...A giant wave isn't going to come and sweep me away, right?

...Uh, haha, just kidding.

During Utopia Phase 2

Earlier, I saw two people coming back from sea fishing, carrying a massive basket of fish!

And many of them were pink!

Different Water Areas hold different kinds of fish. For instance, lakes are full of common bleaks.

What fish are common around here? Uh... I can't seem to recall!

During the story

I noticed some folks from Onsen Mountain with fish that seemed... Uh, out of this world.

Not sure where they got them.

Could this be the legendary Grimkin Night paranormal event？

In light snow weather

Have you heard about strange creatures appearing in the sea during snowy weather?

Oh no, oh no! They aren't going to crawl up from the seabed, are they?!

...Hmm, I heard it from Captain The First, how did you know?

During an event

Lately, I often see Vanya chatting with the fish in the lake. Is he wishing them a Happy Spring Festival?

Oh, I don't really think that helps him catch fish at all.

During an event

Vanya seems to have hit a technical snag lately, he's been utterly downcast.

I get it, though. If I were in his shoes, I'd be super angry too.

Maybe giving him all my trophies from today would cheer him up? ...No, that might just make him even angrier. Never mind.

During an event

I heard Vanya learned how to dive and fish from the sea otters. Wouldn't that scare fish away faster?

听说在红月夜，鱼群会变得异常活跃。

刚才我的鱼竿倒是晃得很厉害，不过什么都没有钓上来，真奇怪。

During Winter Frost Season Week 1

Vanya's been looking extra motivated lately, did he learn some new fishing trick?

Ah, turns out it's just the weather... and here I was hoping to ask him about frostspore fish.

During Call of Whales Week 1

Vanya's been staring off into space with his fishing rod lately. I called out to him, but he just walked right past me like I wasn't even there.

Weird... I thought he'd be thrilled to hear about the rainbow whale showing up in Whalefall Canyon.
