Welcome all birdwatching lovers who wish to embrace and protect nature to explore our resources.
Read it in game as Friends of the Bird Ringing Station.
Birdwatching Guidelines
First, get your birdwatching lens ready, and search for signs of the birds you wish to observe.
But be careful—getting too close can startle birds and make them fly away. Different birds have different levels of wariness, so try to keep a safe distance and take your time.
Also, learning the habitats of different bird species can be a huge help. For example, seagulls are usually found by the sea, cormorants prefer island rocks, storks like the water's edge, and birds of prey like falcons and owls tend to favor high places...
And some birds only appear under certain weather conditions.
Bird Behaviors
Birds behave differently depending on the time of day or weather conditions.
Most birds rest at night, but nocturnal birds of prey—owls—remain active after dark.
Once your Birdwatching Hobby reaches a certain level and you unlock the Catching Action feature, your scanner will be able to identify bird behaviors.
If you capture a bird's action, you'll earn extra points for the photo.
Perch & Bird Food
Setting up perches (or various bird perches) in your home might attract familiar birds to visit. So keep unlocking more entries in your Bird Collection!
By the way, different birds prefer different types of perches. You wouldn't expect an eurasian wigeon to perch on a wooden pole, would you?
If no birds have visited for a while, try putting out some bird food.
Bailey J's Research
Submit the bird photos you've captured to Bailey J, and she'll give you a small gift to thank you for helping the Bird Ringing Station's research.
Sometimes, Bailey J may even reward you with rare bird food!
